Van Dyk Construction was created in 1997 by Jeff Van Dyk, a second generation of craftsmen from the Van Dyk family. His father Jake ran a successful home improvement business out of Metuchen, N.J. When Jake decided to hang up his hammer in 1997, he handed the business over to his only son. Jeff has been involved in the trade since he was a little boy, nailing blocks of wood together in the backyard. Jeff has gained a vast knowledge of the many techniques and tools of the business in the many years that he had worked along with his father and since taking over the business in 1997. He takes a unique approach to his work because he truly loves what he does. Jeff has always been involved in construction and really looks forward to many of the projects that he tackles.
Van Dyk Construction takes a different approach to all the projects that they take on, and the way the business is run. Although the company takes on a large volume of work, Jeff keeps the business small. It's quite easy for Van Dyk Construction to expand and take on a lot of employees, but Jeff likes to be in control of every job and not loose site of high quality work. Most of the time it's just Jeff and one assistant on the job. Large jobs are still part of the workload though, from large decks to basements and kitchens, they can get it done!
Over the years Van Dyk Construction has evolved from Jeff doing handyman work by himself to a full-on construction company. The business even achieved the honor of being a certified Pella window installer since 1998. If you are ever in the need for any type of home improvement or construction projects, give Van Dyk Construction a call.
